Le’Ecia Farmer is a queer Black parent and creative. Le’Ecia studied fiber art, natural dye, and visual art in Olympia, WA. She also studied traditional and contemporary textile printing in Ghana. Le’Ecia partially completed an apparel design and development program in Seattle, WA but left early to prioritize her well-being. Le’Ecia’s skillset also comes from community knowledge and self-learning. Le’Ecia continually draws inspiration from the overt and covert connections between culture and art practices. Le’Ecia constantly plays with the various meanings that materials possess and views every medium as an opportunity to explore, experiment, or disrupt.
